A warm welcome to our website which we hope you will find informative, helpful and encouraging.

Rathgar Methodist Church is situated in a richly ecumenical part of south Dublin and has been serving the community here since 1874. We are situated at the junction of Brighton Road and Garville Avenue, within easy reach of Harold’s Cross, Terenure and Rathmines.

Ashley Prodgers was very grateful for our donation of fruit and vegetables to The Salvation Army. The fresh fruit went to Clonard Road Family Hub, which houses families facing homelessness. The vegetables were taken to Lefroy House where young people who have been in care receive cooking lessons as part of their training in independent living.

Just before we dismantled our decorations, we had a visit from Damhnait O’Loughlin and the children in the Montessori School which uses our hall during the week. Below is a picture of the youngsters sitting on the step during their tour of the church.
